Spring Fairy

Greetings to you all :)
I hope today (tonight is more accurate!!) finds you well.  I was quiet last week due to being away-I went camping to an idyllic spot where there was no internet, almost no phone reception, it was bliss! Photos to follow I am sure-haven't checked them for keepers yet!

Today's share is quite a collection of experiments! Spring colours are not really my usual palette but I figured I would give it a go! The biggest experiment, for me, was alcohol inks on mirri card through a mask! I used the Imagination Crafts butterfly mask that I used previously and used alcohol inks in Lettuce and Pesto colours to make the background for this card.

The same mask was used-flipped over so that the butterflies face the opposite way, but with inks-mowed lawn distress ink, along with a touch of Peacock Feathers distress ink, to produce the strip across the middle of the card, this was attached to lemon coloured paper.  Vine leaves and creeping ivy (from Lavinia Stamps) were then stamped up the edges of this middle strip, in both the distress inks mentioned and Memento Cottage Ivy. The fairy was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black before being cut out and stuck at different heights using silicone glue-I am thinking that perhaps she could do with a little glitter on her wings, what do you think? Let me know.
The distress inks were used to stamp stars around the edge of the card blank before attaching the lemon paper/silver mirri card combination.
The sentiment was decorated using the same stamps and inks as were used for the strip across the centre.

The flowers were all placed beneath the fairy to give the impression that the fairy dust she is sprinkling helps the flowers grow!  The gardenia and the various roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the daisy and hydrangea blooms are from my local craft store.
Card is finished off with 3 green gems and a couple of extra roses on the sentiment.

Thank you for reading and Happy Crafting :)
